We introduced the nation¡¯s first electrostatic separation facilities through government-funded projects, secured related patents, and have been selected as a "Global Top" lead company for waste appliance treatment.

Recovery & Recycled Materials

SMI operates facilities capable of processing up to 14,700 tons of waste per year, including waste cables, waste electrical and electronic equipment, synthetic resins, and printed circuit boards. We recover plastics (ABS, PP, PS) and metals at approximately a 50:50 ratio and supply them as high-quality recycled raw materials.

Battery-Safe Pre-Treatment &
Advanced Recycling Processes

Before entering the recycling line, secondary batteries contained in electrical and electronic products are pre-sorted, extracted, and insulated to eliminate fire hazards and related risks. The materials then pass through a series of advanced processes—shredding, crushing, washing and dewatering, and gravity, magnetic, electrostatic, and color separation—to maximize resource recovery.

Nationwide Collection, Transport &
Outsourced Services

With a licensed fleet ranging from 1-ton to 25-ton collection and transport vehicles—including wing-body trucks and grapple trucks—we can allocate the optimal vehicles for each site and volume. Upon customer request, more than 40 twenty-five-ton wing-body trucks can be dispatched per day, and we provide nationwide collection services for volumes of 1 ton or more.

SMI collaborates with more than 50 partners nationwide—including manufacturers, retailers, general corporations, local governments, sorting centers, public institutions, and small stores. Through over 340 collection points, we receive and process a wide range of electrical and electronic products, building a stable and reliable resource supply network.

EcoAS- and Allbaro-Based
Compliance & ESG Management

We practice strict compliance and ESG management by fully adhering to all legal and administrative systems, including the Allbaro system and the Eco-Assurance System (EcoAS), and by completing EcoAS documentation for all items handled. Since the launch of E-Circulation Governance, we have supported its facilities and manpower, contributed to domestic closed-loop recycling, and provided remote and on-site assistance to manufacturers and local governments that face difficulties using these systems.

Continuous Investment in
AI Vision Sensors & Local Partnerships

SMI is developing the SMI AI VISION Sensor, an AI and machine-learning–based system designed to identify and track high-value materials such as cables and PCBs in real time. This technology improves recovery rates and enhances the efficiency of sorting processes. In parallel, we work with national and local environmental agencies, education offices, and municipalities on customized collection programs for household and school e-waste, promoting both user convenience and a stronger culture of local resource circulation.
